This inglenook fireplace in Llanfairfechan, Conwy was suffering from the very poor finish on the pointing which spoilt the effect.
The old mortar had to be raked out and the stone cleaned up around the joints. It could have just been re-pointed but the design of the fireplace wasn’t particularly interesting so I decided to add some interest with diamond proud pointing.
Result was an inglenook fireplace that enhanced the room and provided an interesting feature focal point.
Once he had started he remained on the job until completion, not once leaving to go to another job I would recommend Bryan to anyone thinking of carrying out work…
